Michael Lee Burns

Michael Lee Bruns of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the age of 63.  He was born July 9, 1949 in Peru, Indiana.  Michael retired from the Lubbock International Airport having worked in the air field maintenance department.  He was a past master of the Lubbock Masonic Lodge 1392 and a worthy patron of Eastern Star Freedom Chapter 898.  Michael married Gail Reinhard on August 20, 1970 and they were members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of more than 42 years, Gail; son, Shawn Bruns and wife Tammy of Floydada; daughter, Michelle Allamon and husband Lyle of Anchorage, AK; father, Richard Bruns of Lubbock; brother, Daniel Broadley of Lamesa; sister, Peggy Holland of San Dimas, CA; and four grandchildren, Tyler, Abby, Kaylea, and Emalea.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda, in 2002.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Combest Family Funeral Homes.  Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
