Mike Gilbert

Michael “Mike” Earl Gilbert, 51, of Lubbock passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. He was born on November 3, 1973, in Lubbock and attended Roosevelt High School. After high school he joined the United States Navy where he served for four years. Mike was a talented welder and builder. He enjoyed country music, dancing and cooking. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Mel and Linda Maessner of Lubbock; children, Paris Nix and Keller Gilbert, both of Austin, Timothy Springfield of Denison, Colton Timms of Lubbock and Christina Gauf of Vancouver, WA; brothers, David White and wife Mary of Lubbock and Brian White and wife Christina of Becton; 4 grandchildren; and host of extended family and friends who loved him dearly. 

Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Tina on June 14, 2021, and four siblings, Carrie Spann, Philip Gilbert, Jerry Gilbert, and Bobby Johnson. 

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Monday, January 27, 2025, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with services starting at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
