Olga Lozano, 73, of Idalou went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 12, 2014. She was born May 13, 1940 in Edinburg, Texas to Genaro and Juanita (Velasquez) Martinez. She was a dietician at Oakwood Hospital and an assistant with White’s Funeral Home in Idalou. She married Frank Melchor Lozano in Lubbock on November 9, 1964 until his death on March 24, 2009. Olga was a member at St. Philip Catholic Church, also a member with the Guadalupanas.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Becky and husband, Daniel Vento, Jr. of Idalou; sons, Edward Lee and wife, Kim Emery Lozano of Ozona, Jose A. Lozano of Lago Vista and Eric Francisco Lozano of Austin; sister, Mary Alma and husband, Santos Ramirez of Arlington; eight grandchildren, Danielle Vento, Vanessa Espino, Laurissa Garza, Alan Lozano, Kamryn Lozano, Ralf Lozano, Cecilia Lozano and Seth Lozano; six great-grandchildren, Jolee Vento, Abigail Perez, Milania and Tristan Espino, Drew Garza and Kierlyn Lozano.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Ulda Martinez and Elva Morales.
Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 and 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes in Idalou. Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at St. Philip Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. Philip Catholic Church with interment to follow at Idalou Cemetery.
