Patricia Ann Callaway

Patricia Ann Callaway, 86 of New Deal, TX. passed from this life at her home Friday December 22, 2023. Patricia was born in Wharton, TX. on April 21, 1937 to Sam and Zora Roe.

She married Kenneth Callaway December 23, 1971 in Post, TX. They celebrated 52 years of marriage lacking one day. On their wedding day they blended her family of 5 children with his 2 children and became one large family and later adding one more son to the bunch. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Callaway, 4 daughters, Frieda Vest (Bill), Pamela Richards, Terry Anderson, Stacie Burt and 3 sons, Marlin Mahan (Dana), Kenneth Wayne Callaway (Kristi), Jay Callaway (Mary) and 2 sisters, Ruby Cruse (Tyler) and Phyllis Townsend (Jesse).

She has 20 grandchildren 29 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Patricia worked as a career seamstress during her life, in retirement she enjoyed traveling in their RV, and meeting up with their trailer club in different resorts in their travels. She loved to read and play games on her Ipad but to her family her most amazing accomplishment was being a wonderful wife and the “Best” Mother in the world!

She was preceded in death by her parents, and several brothers and sisters. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Toleda Mahan on November 16, 1958 and a son Jr. Mahan on March 21, 2013. We the family is comforted in knowing she is rejoicing with our Lord, her son and daughter and all of her loved ones that has went on before her.
