Patricia Ann Del Toro passed away peacefully in her home in Wolfforth, surrounded by love, on September 9, 2024.
Born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Patricia was the daughter of Virginia M. Fish and Willis E. Hall. She pursued her education at New Mexico Junior College, where her journey began. On November 2, 1985, she married Fidel Del Toro, and together they created a beautiful life with a family that has grown and flourished through the years.
Patricia’s greatest joy stemmed from her deep love for her family. She was a devoted wife, proud mother to Gina and Herbert, adoring grandmother to four cherished grandchildren, and a doting great-grandmother to four little ones. Patricia found pure happiness in the moments spent with her family and pets, and she nurtured a warm and inviting home filled with laughter, love, and kindness. Her interests included gardening, reading, decorating, and listening to country music—a melody that often accompanied the love-filled atmosphere she cultivated.
Professionally, Patricia dedicated herself to caring for her patients and their families in the bone marrow transplant unit at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Her incredible compassion and loving nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who crossed her path, providing comfort in times of need.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, but the love she shared continues to shine through those left behind.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Fidel; her daughter, Gina Edwards and her husband Joe; her son, Herbert Haynie and his wife Melissa; her grandchildren, Christopher Howard, Matthew Howard and Jessica, Garrett Haynie, and Alexander Haynie; her great-grandchildren, Ayden and Krista Howard, Olivia and Lawson Howard; her brother, Wayne Hall; and her beloved four dogs and two cats.
