Pauline "Poly" Tippit

Pauline “Polly” Tippit of Lubbock passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the age of 91.  She was born March 1, 1922 in Lawton, OK to Carl and Hattie Mae Owens.   She worked at South Plains Electric Coop as a secretary before retiring. Pauline enjoyed cooking and watching sports, particularly Miami and Texas Tech football and basketball.

Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Tony Tippit of Lubbock TX; sister, Joan Adkins and Glen of Lubbock, TX; three grandchildren Cortni, Tony Joe and Veo, and two nephews John and Jay and one niece Dee Ann.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Clyde R. Owens.

Services will be held 10:00am Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel, burial will follow in the City of Lubbock cemetery.
