Pauline "Polly" Young

Pauline “Polly” Young of Lubbock died Monday, February 11, 2013 at the age of 92. She was born September 24, 1920 in Stratford, Oklahoma.  Polly married Russell Young in Arizona.  They raised their family in Roswell before moving to Lubbock in the 1970’s.  Polly worked at Intimate Apparel for more than 26 years before retiring.  She was a member of Broadway Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Paula Hunter of Lubbock; son, Russ Young of San Antonio;

four grandchildren, Robert Young and wife Jennifer, Brent Hunter, Niki Dickey and husband Eric, and Ryan Young; and one great granddaughter, Brynlee Dickey.

Polly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell; and one sister, Nadine. 

Visitation will be 1:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Combest Family Funeral Homes with the family receiving friends 5:00-7:00 p.m. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. MST Thursday, February 14, 2013 at South Park Cemetery in Roswell, New Mexico.  Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Broadway Church of Christ.
