Philip Michael Barnett, best known as Tiny passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, after a fierce battle. He was born August 7, 1970, in Santa Monica, California. In 1975 the family moved to Lubbock where he began school, attending Lubbock High School. Tiny worked for the Lubbock County Maintenance Department as a locksmith until his illness. On December 31, 1996, he married the love of his life, Shana.
Tiny was a member of the Aces and Eights MC until he founded Dirty Gringos MC. For more than 10 years, Dirty Gringos MC has hosted Chrome and Crayons Toy Run, a Christmas in July event benefiting University Medical Center. Tiny was a strong believer in “give what you get, say what you mean, and mean what you say”. This motto carried though in his daily life where he placed value on family, people, and truth. He was outspoken in tough conversations, fair-minded in his decision making, a peacemaker to those around him, and a strong mentor to others.
It has been said the physical battle Tiny faced the last several years he fought like Samson. He had warrior strength, knowing that strength was because of God.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shana; children, Tyler Sparks and wife April and Maegan Sparks and husband Dexter, all of Lubbock; sister, Lane Barnett of Lubbock; mother, Joannie Barnett of Lubbock; and one grandson, Nolan who was his pride and joy.
Tiny was preceded in death by his father, Steven Barnett and brother, Ryan Barnett.
