Rachel Urteaga

A graveside service will be held for Rachel Salazar Urteaga, age 46, of Turkey, TX at 10:30 a.m., March 26, 2022, at Resthaven Cemetery, Quitaque, TX, with Pastor Stewart Smith officiating. Following, the family will hold a celebration of life in Turkey, TX.

Rachel passed away on Wednesday, March 16 in Lubbock, TX. She was born December 10. 1975 in Post. TX. Rachel was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. She loved spending time with her family, being on the go, and would always take pictures to create lasting memories with those she loved. She could often be found on the phone with her family and would always end her calls with "I love you."

Rachel is survived by her daughter, Amalie Urteaga; her mother, Emilia Camargo of Turkey, TX; siblings, Noah Salazar of San Diego, Ruthie Zarate of Dickens, Mamie Alconedo of Crosbyton, Moses Salazar, III of Turkey, TX, Danny Salazar of Plainview, and Becky Montelongo of Lubbock. Rachel had 8 nieces, 9 nephews, 16 great nephews and 8 great nieces. Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Moses Salazar, Jr.
