Randy L. Cater, 58, of Slaton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Randy was born into the Cater family on November 3, 1963, in Lubbock, Texas.
Randy married Rosa Brown on December 4, 2015, in Slaton.
Randy was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and served during the Gulf War and Desert Storm, and was honorably discharged. His main occupation was a CDL Truck Driver, working for Slaton Gas and Equipment Company until his retirement in June of 2020. Randy enjoyed his guns, was a Star Trek fan, loved sci-fi, cooking (especially BBQ'ing) and many nerdy things according to his family. His family related that he enjoyed lakes and mountains.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rosa; one daughter, Nicole Benz of Slaton; two brothers, Sid Morris and Billy Limbaugh, both of Lubbock, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine (Burleson) Cater; two children, Margaret Mullaley and Shawnna Davis, and his former wife, Angelika (Reich) Cater.
Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 1 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Wilson. Reverend Billy Parmer will be the officiant. Final rites and inurnment, with military honors, will follow in the Green Memorial Cemetery, in Wilson.
Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.
