Raul Salazar

Raul Salazar, 61, passed away on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, in Lubbock, Tx, surrounded by his loving family.  Raul was born on January 23, 1961, in Santa Anna, Texas to the late Robert Sr. and Guadalupe Salazar. He was raised in Santa Anna and graduated from Santa Anna High School in 1980 where he was active in baseball and Vocational FFA Agriculture. He later attended Arlington Basic Police Academy. Raul met the love of his life, Esther C. Munoz, and they were married in Lubbock, Texas on November 5th, 2005. Out of this blessed union, he became a bonus Dad to daughter’s Margo Denise Gonzales and Veronica Lauren Snodgrass.

Moving to Lubbock in 1985, Raul worked for Parks Printing in Lubbock for approximately 37 years, before retiring in 2021 as Production Manager. He loved his job and enjoyed working with his co-workers and his long-time customers. His number one love was spending time with his family, cooking, grilling, and making his famous tasty hot sauce, he was fond of the outdoors, gardening, fishing, traveling and he enjoyed driving Mariachi Estrella, his wife’s group to their out-of-town gigs.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include the love of his life, his wife, Esther, daughters, Margo Denise Gonzales of Dallas, Tx, Veronica Lauren and husband Dr. Phillip Snodgrass of Lebanon, NH, brother, Joe Torres and wife Quan of Odessa, Tx, brother, Robert Salazar Jr., of Ft. Worth, Tx, brother, Johnny Salazar and wife Linda of Santa Anna Tx, sister, Norma Silva and husband Pedro of Santa Anna, Tx

Raul was proceeded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Guadalupe Salazar and brother Javier Salazar.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to any Cancer Research affiliate or Hospice of Lubbock.
