Raymond Garza

Raymond F. Garza, 83, of O'Donnell, Texas passed away on February 21, 2022. He was born on May 29, 1938 in Rosebud, Texas to Librado and Mercedes (Flores) Garza. On June 25, 1966 he married Maria (Medina) Garza who preceded him in death on April 7, 2020. Together they raised six children. Raymond worked almost all of his life farming and ginning.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Ovilia (Tino) Tijerina of Lubbock, Mary Jane Garza, Debbie (Eli) Hernandez, Benny Garza all of O'Donnell, Raymond (Alejandra) Garza of Lubbock, Michael Garza of Big Spring; sisters, Janie Deleon of Midland, Ann Vidaurre of Lovington, New Mexico, Eva Diaz of Slaton and one brother, Lee Garza also of Slaton; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria; his parents, Librado and Mercedes; one sister, Lupe Valderaz and 5 brothers Leonardo Garza, Joe Manuel Garza, Jesse Garza, Alfonso Garza and Rufus Garza.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 1-5pm at the Combest Family Funeral Home in O'Donnell. Rosary will be recited at 6pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church in O'Donnell on Friday, February 25, 2022. Mass will be celebrated at 9am Saturday, February 26, 2022 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in O'Donnell with interment to follow at the O'Donnell Cemetery.
