Raymond Ray Harris

Raymond Harris of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the age of 76.  He was born July 2, 1937 in O’Donnell, Texas to Joy Valton and Lorena (Ramsey) Harris. Raymond married Leona Estep on February 8, 1958 they were married for 42 years until her death on December 26, 2000. He enjoyed being a farmer and rancher; he also was a member at the Church of Christ. Raymond will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Carolyn Johnson and husband Franklin, Jacqueline Kay Harris all of Lubbock, and Loria May Dawson of North Carolina; one son, Alvin Joy Harris of Big Spring; one brother, Roy Gene Harris; one sister, Wanda Marie Traylor; three grandchildren.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Joy and Lorena; and wife, Leona.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel in Lubbock.  Private burial will be at Dawson County Cemetery in Lamesa.
