Robbie Roberson

Robbie Jerrell Roberson, 81 of Tahoka passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021. He was born September 30, 1940 to Ewell and Willene (Thompson) Roberson in Lubbock. Robbie married Donna Jo Howell on March 8, 1958 in Tahoka. Robbie was a farmer and rancher. He also worked in law enforcement for the Tahoka Police Department. Later, for the Lynn County Sheriff's Office as a chief deputy for several years before retiring. Robbie enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of First Baptist Church Tahoka.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Donna; their children, Dixie Hipp of Ruidoso, New Mexico, Dale Roberson of Tahoka; siblings, Sister (LaQuita Schaffner whom he always called Sister) of Lubbock; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at First Baptist Church Tahoka with burial to follow at Terrace Cemetery in Post.
