Robert (Bob) W. Hazel, 81, of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on November 2, 2022. He was born on March 3, 1941 in Bloomington, Indiana to Mr. Samuel Joshua Hazel and Mrs. Lucille (Daniels) Hazel. Robert attended Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis, Indiana and he graduated in 1959. He then attended trade school to become an electrician. Robert married Joann Talbot on August 12, 1962 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Together, they had four sons. On September 1, 1960 Robert enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served for four years until being honorably discharged on August 31, 1964.
Robert worked at Chrysler for 34 years before retiring. He was a very hard worker, especially proven to be true after he won an award for never skipping a day of work for 10 years. He will best be remembered by his love for bowling, golfing, and especially fishing.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Joann Hazel; sons, Dan (Shelli) Hazel, Dr. Richard Hazel DAc, Michael (Donnamarie) Hazel, and Douglas (Paula Guido) Hazel; six grandchildren, Lauren (Rory) Smith, Lila Hazel, Shaelyn Hazel, Rachel Hazel, Trevor Hazel, and Taylor Hazel; three great-grandchildren, Lorelai Smith, Logan Smith, and Aria Hazel. He is also remembered by three siblings, Linda, Bill, and Barbara; along with numerous friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lucille Hazel; and three siblings, Cindy, Max, and Charles.
