Roberto Estrada

Robert “Beats” Estrada, 60, of Slaton passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in Lubbock.   Robert was born August 11, 1963 in Slaton, TX to Urbano Estrada Jr. and Maria Francisca Martinez.  He was raised in New Home and graduated from New Home High School in 1982. He worked for the City of Tahoka for many years and then went to work for Pharr RV’s in Lubbock, Texas.

Robert enjoyed playing football growing up and was an avid Texas Tech fan.  Robert never met a stranger and always had a smile to brighten your day.  He loved his family and his greatest joy was his daughter Madison.

Robert is survived by his wife Cheryl Estrada and daughter Madison Estrada of Slaton, two sisters, Virginia Zuniga of Lubbock, Janie (Daniel) Montelongo of Tahoka, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Urbano and Maria Estrada, three sisters, Victoria Morin, Maria Contreras and Pam Estrada.

A memorial service will be held at Tahoka Housing Authority, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
