Ronald Douglas Ramsay

Ronald Douglas Ramsay of Idalou passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the age of 68.  He was born February 12, 1946 in Casa Grande, Arizona.   Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served in Vietnam.  He was later stationed at Reese Air Force Base as a Tech Sergeant.  He met Shirley Johnson from Crosbyton and they married on February 11, 1970 in Salinas, California.  Ron owned Ramsay Manufacturing in Salinas and Redding, California where he was an engineer that designed vegetable harvesting equipment.   After retiring, the couple moved back home to the Idalou area.  

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Shirley; sister, Karen Martin and her daughter Tammy Brewer, both of Canyon City, Colorado; and brother-in-law, Larry Johnson of Crosbyton.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Fern Ramsay, and nephew, Joe Stephens.
