Ronnie Beck

Ronald “Ronnie” W. Beck Jr., 57, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on November 24, 2022. He was born on November 4, 1965, in Amarillo, Texas. Ronnie was raised by Victor and Mary Lomeli. He was a member of the Austin State Supported Living Center before transferring to Lubbock State Supported Living Center. Ronnie worked at the school as a greeter in the diner and he also made checkup calls to family members.

Ronnie loved football, more specifically he was a diehard fan for Dallas Cowboys. He knew everything about every player. If he wasn’t watching football, he was spending time outside listening to heavy metal music- he loved the independence that he had with his power chair. School employees stated that “Ronnie was one of the most outgoing and selfless individuals” they have ever met. He was deeply loved by everyone he knew.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Victor and Mary Lomeli; siblings, Selsa Mendoza, Rhonda Kinzie, Victor Lomeli, and Raymond Lomeli; caretaker, Missy Olive; and a multitude of friends at the Lubbock State Supported Living Center.

A public viewing will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 11:00am-12:00pm at Combest Family Funeral Homes (2210 Broadway, Lubbock, Texas 79401).
