Rosie Garcia, 74, of Lubbock passed away Friday, December 2, 2022. She was born August 23, 1948, to Francisco and Isabell Ponce-De-Leon in Long Beach, CA. Rosie graduated from Carson High School in Carson, CA. On August 23, 2019, she married Andrew Garcia in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was of the Christian faith and a member of Trinity Church.

Rosie was a General Manager at Courtesy Cleaners for many years but retired to become a housewife. She often enjoyed sewing and shopping and was excellent cook.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Andrew Garcia; children, Adrian Garcia (Veronica), Deborah Smith (Sam), Gloria Lopez, and Delma Rosas (Rick); siblings, Bobbles Herrera (Gustavo), Loli Palenko (John), Andy Ponce-De-Leon (Jetty), Nito Ponce-De-Leon (Lora), and Fito Ponce-De-Leon (Gracie); three grandchildren, Adrian Jr. Garcia, Breanna Garcia, and Megan Miller (Stephen), and one great-grandchild, Audrey Miller. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Isabell, and her siblings.

A visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the Venue on Broadway. Celebration of Life services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Venue on Broadway. Interment will follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jaime Herrera, Gustavo Herrera, Alex Reyna, Mandy Martinez, Rick Rosas, Luis Moreno, Luis Moreno Jr., and Johnny Palenko.
