Ruby Fae McCafferty

Ruby Fae McCafferty of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the age of 85.  She was born August 30, 1928 in Sadler, Texas to Garland and Mary (Larkin) Adams.  She married J.W. McCafferty on March 19, 1949 in Lubbock.  Ruby was a butcher for Furrs Foods for over 25 years before retiring.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ed McCafferty and wife Janice of Lubbock and grandson, Chris McCafferty and wife Leslie of Lubbock.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, J.W.; parents; daughter, Beverly James; and one brother, R.D. Adams.

Viewing will be 12:00–5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes.  Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
