Samantha "Sissy" Marie Duran

Samantha “Sissy” Marie Duran of Idalou passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the age of 25.  She was born September 6, 1989 in Lubbock.  Samantha had a big heart, loved her family and made everyone laugh.  Sissy touched “many” hearts and easily grew on people.  She loved music, dancing and socializing amongst family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Becky Duran of Idalou; brother, Ricky Reyes; grandmother, Eva Guerrero; aunts, JoAnn Olivarez, Sandra Espinoza, Cynthia Nerios, and Erika Cervantez; uncle, Lloyd Guerrero, Jr.; 15 immediate cousins; and numerous extended family and friends.

Samantha was preceded in death by her grandfather, Loy L. Guerrero.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Combest Family Funeral Homes.  Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church.  Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. Philip Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Idalou Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Lubbock and their staff for the loving care extended to Samantha for the last several years.
