Sammie Brown

Sammie Brown, 67, of Ropesville, passd away on Sunday morning, January 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Sammie was born in Artesia, New Mexico on February 26, 1957, to the late Bobby West and LaRue (Northrip) West.

Sammie was the Food Services Manager for the Shallowater ISD for over 30 years, before retiring in 1996. She loved and adored her grandchildren, enjoyed listening to Country & Western music, dancing and do it yourself projects. She was very much a family person, and she kept up with everyone she knew.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her two sons: Blane (Ronda) Brown of Shallowater and Aaron Brown of Artesia, New Mexico; one brother, Chance (Kimberly) Mays of Nacogdoches; four grandchildren: Brayden Brown, Cason Brown, Jaxx Brown and Trevin Graves. Sammie was preceded in death by parents and her husband, Allan Brown on December 7, 2014.

Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at The Message Church, 5502 Auburn Street, in Lubbock.  Pastor Mitch Wilson will be the officiant.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory.

All flowers for ths service are to be taken directly to the church on Saturday morning.
