Sandra Sue Partain

Sandra Sue Partain, beloved wife, mother and Mimi passed away October 23, 2021.  She was born in Orange, Texas on October 12, 1943, to the late Hoy Mitchell and Nell (Rogers) Mitchell.

She attended Abilene Christian University and there she met the love of her life, Jimmie Partain.  They were married on August 1, 1964, in Beeville, Texas.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education.

Mrs. Partain taught for over 30 years with the majority of those years in the Frenship ISD.  Sandra was a lifelong learner and later graduated from Lubbock Christian University with her Masters in Administration.  Even after retirement, she worked with Rainbow Express School teaching music to hundreds of children and creating lasting relationships with parents and staff as Ms. Mimi.  She made everyone feel special and loved.

Sandra loved God and her family over all else and was a faithful Christian who was dedicated to helping others.  Her greatest joy was to have the whole family at church worshipping.  She also loved to read, travel and spend time with her family at the beach or in Red River, New Mexico.  She was at every sporting event she could get to for her and her grandchildren, and supported everything they did up until her final days.  She made everyone feel special and made even the small things feel great.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie; one son, Barry Partain and his wife Sarah of Georgetown, Texas; two daughters, Lisa Epperson and her husband Lance of Wolfforth, and Melanie Hill and her husband Nathan of Wimberley, Texas; one sister, Sammie Mitchell of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Brooke and Baylee Partain, Brent Partain, Hadlea Hill, Hudson Hill and Landon Epperson; one great-granddaughter, Hallie Partain.

Private services will be held at a later date.

The Partain family has requested memorial donations in Mrs. Partain’s memory be made to Rainbow Express School, 5901 Yorktown Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX 78414.
