Scott Albert Mitchell

Scott Albert Mitchell of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the age of 51.  He was born March 5, 1963 in Champagne, Illinois to John and Beatrice (West) Mitchell.  Scott was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  After honorable discharge he worked as a supervisor for Sun Star Electric, LP.  He married Rosie Martinez on March 9, 1991 and they were members of Redbud Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rosie; mother, Beatrice Mitchell; son, Kelly Mitchell and wife Christy; daughters, Cristie Mitchell and husband Jesse Diaz and Amanda Dacey and husband James; brother, David Mitchell and wife Maria; sister, Lisa Kennedy; and six grandchildren, Joshua and Jakob Diaz, Mackenzie and Emma Dacey, Trista and Elaina Mitchell.

Scott was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014 with family receiving friends from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Combest Family Funeral Homes. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Redbud Baptist Church with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
