Sheila Ruth Ogden

Sheila Ogden, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on December 6, 1951, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to her parents Raymond LaVern and Alice Elaine (Clauson) Merrill.

Sheila will always be remembered for her kind and gentle soul, her unwavering love for her family, and her joyful spirit that lit up every room she entered. Sheila touched the lives of many with her compassion and generosity. She dedicated her life to creating a home and providing a space for her children and grandchildren to thrive. Sheila enjoyed reading, painting and drawing. She loved being a mom but truly cherished being the BEST grandma and grammy. She was a source of strength and inspiration for all who knew her.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents.

Sheila is survived by her devoted husband, Bill Ogden; her loving daughters, Diana Russell and Rebecca Postar; her adored grandchildren, Hunter Russell and Alexis Postar; as well as her siblings Connie Snow, Richard Merrill, and Paul Merrill. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Interim Hospice for all the love and care they shared with Sheila and her family in her last days. Sheila's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave during her time on earth.
