Shirley Vezina

September 11, 1941 — December 28, 2023

Born on September 11, 1941, Shirley led a life filled with kindness, compassion, and dedication to

her family and community. She was an exceptional LVN nurse, serving her patients with utmost care and bringing comfort to those in need. Shirley's passion for music extended beyond her profession, as she possessed a beautiful singing voice and showcased her talent by playing the piano. Her melodious tunes would fill the air, captivating all those who had the pleasure of hearing her perform.

 

Shirley's faith was an integral part of her life, and she was an active member in church.

Her devotion to her spiritual beliefs brought her comfort, strength, and guidance

throughout her journey. She found fellowship and community within the walls of the church, forging lasting friendships and supporting her fellow worshippers.

 

Shirley shared many cherished memories with her daughter Teresa Davis of Lubbock, Tx, Son, Steven Gill of Richland, North Carolina, Son Mark Gill of Manassas, Virginia, Brother Jack Applegate of Lubbock, TX. Nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchild. Together, they experienced the joys and challenges of life, creating a bond that will endure beyond her passing. Shirley was a beloved wife and mother, who provided unwavering love, support, and encouragement to her family.

 

She was preceded by her first husband, Ardel Gill, and second husband, Joseph Vezina, Fred and Frances Applegate, Freddy Applegate, Ricky Applegate, Micky Applegate.

Throughout her life, Shirley's love and warmth touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her kind and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

 

Funeral services and a celebration of Shirley's life will be held on January 5, 2024, at 1:00pm, at Trinity Church, where family and friends will gather to pay their respects and share memories of a life well-lived.

 

May Shirley rest in eternal peace, knowing that her legacy of love and compassion will continue to
inspire those whose lives she has touched.
