Ted Figueroa

Ted A. Figueroa, 76, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 in Lubbock surrounded by his loving family.

Ted was born on November 23, 1945 in Mathis, Texas to Pedro Figueroa and Berta Alvarez Figueroa.  He was raised in both Mathis and Lubbock and attended Frenship schools.  He married Linda Garza on March 13, 1968 in Wolfforth and moved to St. Paul, Minnesota shortly after where he worked as a city bus driver for MTC.  When they returned to Lubbock in 1980, he resumed his career as a truck driver that lasted for many years.  He enjoyed spending time at the casino and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. He loved his wife’s cooking, particularly her enchiladas.  He lived for the time spent with his family and his grandchildren, all of which shared their own special bonds with him.

Ted is survived by his wife, Linda Figueroa, his 3 sons and their spouses, Abel and Martha Figueroa, Pete and Lisa Figueroa, Tommy and Keri Figueroa, 1 sister and her spouse, Dora and Victor Arguelles of Lubbock, 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Berta Figueroa, as well as his daughter and son-in-law, Corina and David Gonzales.

Viewing will be on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Venue at 2202 Broadway, in Lubbock from 1-8pm, with a celebration of life service at 6:00 PM in the same location. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory in Lubbock.
