Teodoro"Ted" Moreno Jr., 68 born on August 30, 1956, in Lamesa, Texas, passed on January 27, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to his family. A welder by trade, an entrepreneur, and a proud caterer, Ted touched countless lives through his skills, generosity, and vibrant personality.
Ted served his country with honor in the military in 1974. After his service, he spent many years building a life in Washington before returning to Lubbock, Texas, in 2010, where he continued to make cherished memories with his family and loved ones.
Ted is survived by his loving life partner, Tina Rodriguez; his sons, Ted Moreno and wife Shelly, and Rickey Hinojosa; his daughters, Cristal Moreno and husband Josue, Victoria Moreno, and Valerie Moreno and husband Jack. He was a proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
He is also survived by his siblings: Joe, Lydia, Alberto and wife Connie, Pedro and wife Sandra, Roy, and Yolanda, along with many nieces and nephews who adored him.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, San is Juanita Hernandez and Tidor Moreno Sr., and his beloved grandson, Devin Danford.
Ted will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his entrepreneurial spirit, and his ability to bring people together through his cooking and kind heart. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Services to honor and celebrate Ted's life will be announced at a later date.
