Teresa Sandra Casarez radiated warmth and love in every moment of her life, and she left us on March 5, 2025, enveloped in the embrace of her beloved family at home. Her spirit will forever light our hearts.
Born on January 24, 1971, in Lamesa, Texas, to Antonio Casarez and Sandra Villegas, Teresa was a cherished member of a large family, the beloved mother figure among ten siblings. The bond she shared with them was unbreakable, but it was her love for her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren that truly defined her. Known for her nurturing heart, she was the go-to person for advice and support, always ready to guide with a motherly touch, not hesitating to share her wisdom along the way.
Teresa was a vibrant soul, full of energy and creativity. Her many talents shone through in everything she did—from her infectious laughter that could light up a room to her irresistible sass that brought joy to every gathering. A natural entertainer, she loved nothing more than to dance to her favorite songs and indulge in a little retail therapy, spreading happiness wherever she went. Her generous nature and caring spirit touched the lives of many, and her absence leaves an irreplaceable void that will be felt deeply by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents and beloved siblings, Cynthia, Anthony, Jimmy, and Danny Casarez. Yet, she leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, including her daughter, Aracely Casarez (David Ybarra); her precious grandchildren, Paris Ybarra, Legend Ybarra, and soon-to-arrive Nazaray Ybarra; as well as her dear sisters, Sylvia Martinez and Rachael Rodriguez, along with Rachael’s children, Alize, Xavier, and Anthony Rodriguez; her sister Sandra Ambriz (Jr.); her brothers, Johnny (Leonor) and Rodolpho Casarez; and a host of other cherished family and friends.
A visitation to honor Teresa's life will take place on March 20, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Combest Family Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, including a heartfelt time of prayer at 6 p.m. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us as we celebrate her beautiful journey. A funeral service will follow on March 21, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Templo Nazaret United Methodist Church, with her final resting place at the City of Lubbock Mausoleum.
Though Teresa's physical presence may no longer be with us, her spirit will live on in the love she shared and the memories we treasure. She will be profoundly missed but will always remain in our hearts.
