June 19, 1970 — December 23, 2024

Lubbock

Terry “Spanky” Hadaway of Lubbock passed away surrounded by family and friends on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the age of 54. He was born June 19, 1970, in Alexandria, Virginia to Grady and Patricia (German) Hadaway. As a 16-year-old teen, Terry began working at Pizza Hut and worked his way up to being a manager within the company. For the last 30 years, he has worked for Simflo-Simmons Pump in Lubbock, ending his career as the production manager.

Terry loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed bowling on leagues at Whitewood Lanes. In 2012 became an active member of the Boozefighters MC, Chapter 17 where he served as president for eight years. One of the many things the Boozefighters MC brought to the community was the joy of Christmas. They spent time delivering gifts to Covenant Children’s Hospital and seeking out families in need during the holiday season.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 11 years, Lori; children, Kenneth Hadaway and wife Madeline of Lubbock, Hope Gonzales and husband Anthony of Lorenzo, Krystal Hill and husband John of Columbia, Missouri, Korbin Perez of San Angelo, Danielle Cosgrove and husband Joe of Farmingdale, New York, Lexi Hale and husband Dustin of Lubbock, and Christopher Coyte of Amarillo. Terry also leaves behind seven grandchildren who called him “Papa”, stepmother, Kathy Hadaway of Lubbock; and siblings, Stephanie Kuhn and husband Stephen, Charity Melville and husband Daniel, Katie Lee, and Mandi DeLeon and husband Matt, all of Lubbock and Charles Lamb and wife Mitzi of Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

Terry was preceded in death by his father and mother; brother, Todd Hadaway; and two sons, Karson Roeder and Anthony Perez.

Memorials services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, January 4, 2025. The service location will be posted by the end of the week.
