Terry Gail Hooper

Terry Gail Hooper of Lubbock passed away July 7, 2024 at the age of 82. She was born in Plainview, TX to Elbert and Mary (Foraker) Hooper. Terry grew up in Olton, TX graduating from Olton High School and from Lippert's Business College in Plainview, TX. She had a long and successful career as a court reporter in Lubbock County, both at the District Court and County Court level. 

Family was very important to Terry. She always looked forward to family gatherings and opportunities to share adventures. Terry was quite the accomplished artist and enjoyed painting. She also enjoyed learning different techniques to enhance her various artistic endeavors. Terry loved to read, doing puzzles, playing many types of board games, flower arranging and watching football. She was a special fan of The University of Texas and the Kansas City Chiefs. Terry was also a masterful storyteller as her family and friends can attest to. 

Terry is predeceased by her parents, Elbert and Mary Hooper and a brother, Kenneth B. Hooper. Survivors include sister-in-law Rosemary Hooper, nephews Zane Hooper and Hayden Hooper and great niece, Beatrice Hooper.

A graveside service will be held at Olton Cemetery on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11:00AM.
