Theodore “Junior” Cook, Jr. age 81 of Idalou passed away March 11, 2023. He was born April 14, 1941 in Atoka County, Oklahoma to Theodore, Sr. and Cora (Lemmons) Cook. He married Sabra Robinson on August 4, 1961.
Junior was a gifted carpenter and woodworker who loved to fish, garden and follow Idalou Wildcat sports. For 18 years he served as farm manager for RB Stanton followed by a 19-year career at Idalou ISD where he was responsible for all building, grounds and transportation operations.
Survivors include his wife Sabra, daughter Penny Harkey (Mike) and sons Teddy, Johnny (Sandy) and Tommy (Margaret) along with his grandchildren Tanner (Angela) and Tyler (Carson) Cook, Kristin Benavidez, Karen Cook, Hailee (J.R.) Roberts, Sharon (Ryan) Rhodes, Mary Catherine, Jude and Gus Cook, four great grandchildren with more on the way. He is also survived by siblings, Pat Dewitt and Terry Cook and his precious puppy, Prissy. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Louise Lee, Virgie Rowan and Skipper Cook.
A visitation will be held at Combest Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 14th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 15th at the First Baptist Church of Idalou. Interment will follow at the Idalou Cemetery.
