Timoteo Casarez Sr. lived a life as big as Texas itself. Born on July23, 1930 in Karnes City, TX Timoteo grew up surrounded by the beauty of ranching. He had a true love for horses and cattle, and those early years spent on the ranch were some of his fondest memories. But Timoteo's journey didn't stop there. He took his family from South Texas to Oklahoma and eventually back to west Texas, where he embarked on a new career in farming.
While Timoteo was dedicated to his work, he always made time for the things that truly mattered to him - his family and creating lasting memories. One of the fondest recollections his children have is traveling to Karnes City to visit their grandpa and indulge in mouthwatering BBQ at the local joint. These moments became cherished traditions for the whole family.
Timoteo had a personality as vibrant as a Texas sunset. He had a knack for making people laugh and was always ready with a joke, a song or an engaging story. His loved ones will forever remember him as someone who brought joy and laughter into their lives. Whether it was relishing in his wife's delicious cooking or enjoying a glass of Brandy (Presidente), Timoteo found pleasure in the simple yet beautiful things life had to offer.
When he wasn't working or making people laugh, Timoteo indulged in several hobbies that brought him immense happiness. He loved spending time playing Bingo, fishing, trying his luck with lottery tickets, and engaging in friendly card games with family and friends.
Timoteo's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his family. Nothing filled his heart with more pride than seeing his loved ones thrive and grow. The love he shared with his wife Matilde Casarez was one for the ages, though she preceded him in death along with their beloved granddaughter Ericka and great-grandchild Madison Kay. Timoteo's memory will live on through the generations he leaves behind.
He is survived by his children Timoteo Casarez Jr. (Paula Ann), Yolanda Valdez, Sylvia Morales (Johnny), as well as his grandchildren Griselda, Regina, Patricia, Christine, Christy, and Heather. Additionally, he leaves behind great-grandchildren Justin, Milana, Alexander, Gabriella, Mark, Brendon, Audrey, Andrew, and Luke James.
Timoteo Casarez Sr.'s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His contagious laughter and larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man in a Visitation event on November 30th at St. Pius X Catholic Church in O'Donnell, TX from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Rosary will follow from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Friday December 1st beginning at 10:00 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church where we celebrate the life he lived and the happiness he brought to others.
In honor of Timoteo's memory and his love for laughter, let us remember the legacy he left behind. May we continue telling those jokes, singing those songs, and sharing stories that bring a smile to our faces. Let us cherish our loved ones as fiercely as Timoteo cherished his family.
As we say goodbye to our extraordinary father, we can find solace in the knowledge that Timoteo Casarez Sr. lived his life to the fullest and brought happiness wherever he went. Rest in peace and may your spirit forever shine brightly like the Texas stars above.
