Tommie Ruth Berryhill

Tommie Ruth Berryhill of Lubbock passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the age of 79.  She was born May 15, 1935 in Wichita Falls to Albert and Ruby (Blackwell) Arp.  Tommie married Ernest Berryhill on August 7, 1953 and worked as a homemaker.  She served on the Lubbock Women’s Bowling League for many years and was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of more than 60 years Ernest; daughter, Rebecca Holmes and husband Monte of Lubbock; sister, Martha Crump of Andrews; grandchildren, Matthew Holmes, Jeremy Holmes and Whitney Dometrius and husband Alex; and great-grandson, Hudson Holmes.

Tommie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ricky Berryhill; and siblings, Marjorie Towry, Louise Vest, Jean Neighbors, Earnest Arp, Ruffin Arp and Joe Arp.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with the family receiving friends 5:30-7:30 p.m.  Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
