Tracy Ann Morris, 62, of Lubbock, passed away on June 26, 2023 at UMC Hospital in Lubbock.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 on July 10, 2023 at West Texas Church, 8322 W Erskine, Lubbock Texas.
Tracy was born in Lubbock to Jack and Doris Stanley on May 16, 1961. She went to high school at Sabino High School in Tucson, Arizona. She married Michael Morris on July 1, 1995 in Tulia, Texas. She worked as a cosmetologist for 35 years. She owned and operated Unique Hair Salon in Lubbock for over 25 years of that time. Her hair salon was a welcoming home to her customers that came alive with their stories each day. She was an active member of West Texas Church and a prayer warrior. She loved living in the country and caring for her animals along with her husband, Michael. They regularly attended team roping all over the Lubbock area. After Michael’s passing her love of dancing was reignited when she met Joe Carter. They spent the last year of her life dancing all over West Texas.
Tracy was preceded in death by her husband Michael Morris on July 22, 2020 and her parents Doris Lusk, July 11, 2010 and Jack Stanley, June 29, 2020.
Tracy is survived by her son Clayton Slagle, granddaughter Harmony Kay Slagle, sister and brother-in-law Kelly and Milt Brownfield, brother Jack Carter Stanley, along with her niece Audra McDougal and her nephews James Smiley, Trae Smiley and Landon Smiley.
