Trina Castillon, a devoted homemaker and loving mother, passed away on January 25, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. Born on December 5, 1943, in her beloved hometown of Tahoka, Trina was respected for her incredible dedication to her family and the caring support she offered to anyone in need.
Trina's primary focus in life was caring for her children and grandchildren. She found great joy in ensuring their happiness and well-being. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she unconditionally cared for anyone who crossed her path. Trina's selflessness was a testament to her kind and loving spirit, making her an integral part of many people's lives.
A passionate football fan through and through, Trina delighted in cheering on the cowboys as well as supporting the Tahoka Bulldogs. She had an unwavering loyalty to these teams and would light up with enthusiasm during games. Trina's dedication to the sport added an extra layer of excitement to family gatherings and brought everyone closer together.
Known for her famous tacos, Trina's culinary creations were a source of delight for all who had the pleasure of tasting them. Her kitchen became a hub of warmth and love where cherished memories were created over delicious meals shared among family members and friends.
Trina's lively personality and magnetic presence made her truly unforgettable. She had a special ability to connect with people from all walks of life, earning their love and admiration effortlessly. Her infectious laughter filled every room she entered, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known her.
Trina is survived by her beloved husband Armando Castillon of 60 years whom she shared a deep bond of love and companionship with throughout their journey together. Their enduring partnership served as an inspiration to all who witnessed it.
Her children Michael Castillon, Sandra Castillon, Nichole Gutierrez (alongside spouse Albert Gutierrez) will hold Trina's memory close to their hearts. Trina's legacy also lives on through her cherished grandkids, Shelsi Moreno, Christian Aleman, Bradley Castillon, Brennon Castillon, Brayden Castillon, Jennifer Gutierrez, and Leticia Gutierrez. Moreover, she leaves behind ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who she loved and cherished with all her heart.
In addition to her immediate family, Trina was preceded in death by her parents Geronimo and Bicenta Rodriguez. She is also mourned by her brothers Vicente, Domingo, and Pete Rodriguez Sr., and sister Mary Franco. Furthermore, she cherished her grandson Brian Aleman and his memory will never fade.
To honor Trina's extraordinary life and offer solace to those who loved her, visitation services will be held on January 28, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Combest Family Funeral Home in Tahoka. The address is 1821 Main St. Tahoka Texas 79373.
A funeral service will follow on January 29th at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Tahoka. The address is 1701 Avenue L. Tahoka Texas 79373.
