Vera Ann Chavez

Lubbock, TX - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vera Ann Chavez, 55, who left us on October 4th, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on March 16, 1968 to Tina and Scott Olson in Lubbock, TX. 

We remember and celebrate the life of Vera Chavez, who graced our world with a beautiful smile and big, gorgeous eyes that could light up the darkest of days. Vera brought joy and warmth to everyone with her glowing smile and radiated happiness and her mesmerizing expressive eyes that spoke volumes without words. 

SURVIVORS: mother Tina Olson and father Scott Olson; siblings: Sara (Vidal) Perez, Brenda Caudillo, Angelic “Angie” (Shaw) Jeter, Steve (Susie) Chavez, Ray (Ron) Rodriguez, Amanda Caudillo; she had 21 nieces and nephews; and 16 great-nieces and nephews. 

PALLBEARERS: Steven Caudillo, Shadow Jeter, Jonah Chavez, and Marcus Jimenez.

Services offered by Combest Family Funeral Home include a viewing scheduled for Tuesday, October 10th, at 5:00 pm, followed by recitation of the rosary from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Combest Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service is set for Wednesday, October 11th at 10:00 am at Combest Funeral Home Chapel. Vera will be laid to rest at Peaceful Gardens following the service.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all who have supported them during this difficult time. Your condolences and memories of Vera bring comfort to us all. Vera may have left this world, but her spirit will live in our hearts and minds. Vera will be dearly missed and forever cherished, may she fly with the angels.
