Things that Verna shared in her last few days that she wanted others to know, "God is on his thrown, he watches over us, he saves us. Always call on Jesus." And things she wanted her granddaughters to know, "God is GOOD all the time!" and "she is proud of all of yall's accomplishments." She said that the two best days of her life were the days her boys, Shannon and Russell were born. Whom she defended always. Up until her last days, she continued to care for the nursing staff that was caring for her. A passion that forever remained in her.
