Vicki Lynn Wright passed away July 6, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas, surrounded by love.
Vicki was born in Lubbock on July 22, 1956. She attended Texas Tech University for several years and studied Child and Human Development. Vicki worked as a Social Worker at West Texas Hospital and later worked in HR for South Park Medical Center. She married Thomas Wright in the late 1980’s and they moved to The Colony where she spent the next few years as a stay-at-home mom. Vicki deeply cherished this title and found great joy having children in her home. She was always the first to volunteer as a room mom and was frequently seen chauffeuring other kids all around town. Vicki also loved dancing to her vinyl records and could be seen doing a little disco from time to time. Additionally, Vicki enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and locating butterflies. She loved Jesus and shared Him with everyone she could. Above all else, Vicki found her passion in being a loving mom and devoted grandmother. She dedicated her time and her life in creating a safe space where children could thrive. She lived her life selflessly, passionately, and wholeheartedly. However, Vicki would tell you none of that could compare to her role as Vivi. Blaire and Casen Mark, were and always will be her greatest joy. Vicki’s love, joy and laughter will be deeply missed.
Predecessors: Carolyn and Wayne Hancock (mother and stepfather), Drew Warren (father) and Jay and Billie Wood (father and stepmother); Thomas Wright (former husband) and best friend, Clara Rempe of Lubbock, Texas; and many other friends and family that she loved that passed before her.
Vicki is survived by her daughter, Chelsea Click and husband Jeff Click of Lubbock Texas; her grandchildren, Blaire and Casen Mark of Lubbock, Texas; her sister, Dawn and husband Terry (Fahrlender), brother, Dane and wife, Emma (Warren), brother, Tyler and wife Stephanie (Wood), sister, Meagan Wood and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a very large family that will miss her deeply.
