Viola Arcos

Viola Gaitan Arcos passed from this life and went into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, February 14, 2022 at the age of 66. Viola was born to Pedro and Audelia Gaitan on October 8, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas. She married Roberto Arcos on June 4, 1988.

Viola was a beautiful, loving Christian woman. She was an active member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church and loved her church community dearly. She was a kind and gentle person and a mother figure to many. Her smile and sweet spirit will be greatly missed.

Viola is preceded in death by her mother and father, two daughters, Valerie Garcia and Angelica Arcos, and two brothers, Pedro Jesus Gaitan and Edward Gaitan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roberto; one daughter, Rebecca Gaitan of Lubbock; three sons, Estevan Arcos of Lubbock, David Arcos of Lubbock and Robert Arcos of California; four grandchildren, Ava Leal, Brandon Leal, Dilynn Arcos and Emory Mendez and one brother, Harvey Gaitan and his wife Nora of Lubbock along with loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20 from 1-8pm at The Venue on Broadway with Rosary being recited at 6pm. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 10am at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Lubbock with Rev. Nahum Lopez as celebrant. Masks are required at the funeral mass. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Estevan Arcos, David Arcos, Emmitt Gaitan, Brandon Leal, Dustin Penn and Paul Lancaster.
