Graveside services for Vera Virginia Elliott, 86, of Lubbock and formerly of Tahoka, are set for 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Loving, Texas. She died on January 14, 2013 in Lubbock.
Virginia was born July 12, 1926 to Eula (Swaim) and O.C. Elliott in Jean, Texas. She graduated from high school in Graham, Texas in 1943.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Fred Elliott and O.C. Elliott Jr.
Survivors include her sister, June Barrett of Lubbock and formerly of Tahoka; nephew Kent (and Vondell) Elliott of Tahoka; and nieces Karen (and David) Nichols of Post and Judy (and Fred) Carter of Stafford, Texas.
Virginia was an avid bowler, and received numerous 300-game pins and first place trophies in bowling leagues and tournaments. She worked over 50 years in the bowling industry in the Dallas-Fort Worth area as an accountant and bookkeeper. She loved all kinds of outdoor activities, including water- skiing, fishing, softball, and golf
