Virginia Hyles

Virginia Ann (Gable) Hyles, 84, of Dallas (formerly of San Angelo), Tx passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022 in Dallas, Tx.

Virginia was born on December 4, 1937 in Tahoka, Tx to Minnie Ruth and Irvin William Gable. Virginia’s father passed away when she was 4 years old, her mother (Ruth) remarried R.W. Haley, where she was raised and lived on the farm in Tahoka, Tx. She attended school in Tahoka, graduating in 1956 where she was active in Basketball and Cheerleading. Virginia married Charles Lewis Hyles on May 27, 1956 in Tahoka, Tx.  He preceded her in death on November 14, 2009.  They lived in several different areas while Charles was in the military.  They settled and raised their daughters in Levelland and San Angelo, Tx.  In later years they lived in the Dallas area where they managed a storage facility complex.  They eventually returned to San Angelo for retirement.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Pam Tarr and husband John, Kim Cooper, Amy Robinson and husband, JR, sister in law, Martha Haley, four grandchildren, Amber (Tarr) Delach and husband Derek, Stephen Tarr and wife, Julie, Sean Cooper and Emma Robinson, she is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Aizlee Tarr, Kannon Tarr and Whitley Delach.

Mrs. Hyles is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lewis Hyles, her parents, Irvin William Gable, and Minnie Ruth and R.W. Haley, and brother, Ron Haley.

The family will greet friends on Tuesday, September 27th from 6 to 8 pm at Combest Family Funeral Home, 1821 Main, in Tahoka.  A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 28th at the Tahoka Cemetery.  To register or send condolences online, please visit www.combestfamilyfuneralhomes.com.
