Virginia Lee Snell

Virginia Lee Snell of Lubbock went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the age of 93.  She was born April 24, 1919 in Floydada to John James and Virginia (Wade) McKinney.  Virginia married Bill Snell on August 4, 1940.  Some of her involvements include the Mrs. Trice Bible Study, Pierian Study Club, Ladies Sewing Club, 42 Club, and Friendship Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church, where she was an active member.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Susie Moss and husband Larry, son, Steve Snell, and sister, Margaret Burton and husband Lee, all of Lubbock.  Virginia was also blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; infant daughter, Virginia Ann; two brothers; and five sisters.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Combest Family Funeral Homes with the family receiving friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m.  Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 at Carillon’s Neil Chapel with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
