Walter "Pop" Driscoll

Walter "Pop" Driscoll of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the age of 65.  He was born April 25, 1949 in Santa Barbara, California to the late Bernard and Mary "Mumsie" (Hadley) Driscoll.  Walt graduated from Georgetown Prep School and went on to attend Texas Tech University earning his Bachelor's degree in communication.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam.  After honorable discharge Walt worked as a guitar teacher until retiring in 2010 and enjoyed playing in a band called Masterpeace.  Walt married Suzette Gallimore on July 3, 1996 in Falls County, Texas. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Suzette; son, Shawn Potter and wife Amanda; daughter, Rhonda Bearden-Long and husband Les; five brothers, Bill, B.J., Pete, Tad and David Driscoll; and four grandchildren, Matthew, David, and Kayla Bearden, and Macie Potter.

No services are scheduled at this time; however, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Lubbock, 3702 21st St, Lubbock, TX 79410.
