Wendi Kaye Curry, whose favorite names were Mom and Mimi, departed her loving family on December 28, 2021 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Wendi was born on February 11, 1965 in Lubbock, Texas to Wanda Curry Bingham and the late Wiley Lee Curry, Sr. She was raised in Tahoka, Texas where she attended school and graduated from Tahoka High School in 1983. She was mother to Kyndra Smith, Kayla Selmon, and K'lyssa Moore. She was an incredibly hard worker who worked tirelessly at a variety of jobs to provide her daughters with every opportunity she could. She raised her three girls in Tahoka and they were truly her pride and joy. Wendi loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Tech Red Raiders, had a love for all styles of music ranging from rap to George Strait (he was her favorite!) and she loved to be surrounded by her family and friends.
Wendi spent her final days being cared for by her sweet mother, Wanda. She was preceded in death by her dad Wiley Lee Curry, Sr., twin infant brothers Larry and Barry Curry, and older brother Wiley Lee Curry, Jr.
Aside from the daughters she doted on, Wendi is survived by her mother, Wanda Curry Bingham, sons-in-law Marlon Smith, Manuel Biera, and Grady Moore, her beloved grandchildren Mariah Smith, Logan Moore, and Ellie Moore, and countless other family and friends.
A memorial service for Wendi will be held Sunday, January 9th at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Tahoka; 1701 Avenue K Tahoka, TX 79373.
