Bill was born June 1, 1950, in Victoria, Texas. He passed from this world on January 26, 2022, at the Slaton Care Center.
He was the son of Spence and Oreta Bevers of Southland, Texas. He graduated from Southland High School and attended West Texas State College in Canyon. He married Barbe Gilmore on June 20, 1970. Barbe and Bill were married for 52 years.
Bill was a long-time resident of Post, where he worked in the oil fields. His hobbies included working in his garden, reading, playing with his dogs and giving Barbe a hard time.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barbe; three sons, Shawn Bevers and Shane Bevers, both of Post, and Travis Bevers and his wife Melissa of Argyle; two brothers, Joe Bevers and Mark Bevers; two sisters, Sue Hart and Laura Conner; 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held, with details to be announced in the Post, Texas newspaper.
