William Guy Irwin of San Angelo, formerly of Lubbock, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the age of 71. He was born November 15, 1942 in Roswell, New Mexico to Clarence and Clara (Adams) Irwin. He graduated from Roswell High School and owned and operated a business in the office equipment industry until retiring in 2013. William was a member of the Elks Club and was an avid hunter. He was also a collector of classic cars.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy of San Angelo; two sons, Bill Irwin of Lubbock and Joe Gomez of San Angelo; two daughters, Misty Lynn Richardson of Jacksboro and Kathy Ann Shiller of San Angelo; three brothers, Clarence Irwin of Lubbock, Don Irwin of Wichita Falls, and Robert Irwin of Albuquerque; and 14 grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Memorial services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. Honorary pallbearers will be Warren Hollingshead, Dale Turner, Clyde Forbes, Britt Reed, Gene Hubbard and Butch Johnson.
