Willie Lou Jeffrey

Willie Lou Jeffreys of Conroe, formerly of Lubbock, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the age of 99.  She was born on September 30, 1915 in Dainger Field, Texas to William Thomas and Minnie Ola (Crossland) Ellis. Lou graduated from Texas Tech University where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in education.  She worked as a teacher at Parsons Elementary until retiring.  Lou was a member of the Eastern Star, Retired Teachers Association and Alpha Kappa Gamma.  While in Lubbock she was also a member of Sunset Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Derrell Montgomery and wife Cindy of Conroe; granddaughter, Monica Marie Seton; and two great-grandsons, Glenn and Steven Robinson.  Lou was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Bill Montgomery and J. E. Jeffreys.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 with services to start at 11:00 a.m. at Combest Family Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
