Wilma Lee Haney

Wilma Lee Haney, 91, of Lubbock, TX, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024. She was born on October 29, 1932, to William Lee Woodward and Cordelia Layne Varnell, in Knox City, Texas. 

Wilma married Billy Mack Haney on April 6, 1953, in Lubbock, TX. Together they share two daughters. 

Wilma graduated with her bachelor’s degree in nursing and retired in 1987. She loved working on her flower beds. She was a member of St. John’s Methodist Church. 

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Elaine Bradshaw of Austin, TX, and Carla Denise Artz of Lubbock, TX; and four grandchildren. 

Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Haney; and her parents William and Cordelia Woodward. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 10a.m. at the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
