Nancy Coppedge

Nancy Fay (Timms) Coppedge, 84, passed away October 18, 2022, in Lubbock, TX. She was born May 22, 1938, to James Leroy and Susan Lois (Condra) Timms, in Winters, TX. Nancy graduated from Plainview high school; she married Van Earl Coppedge Sr. October 25, 1955. Together, they raised 3 boys and 2 girls, Sonya, Van Jr., Teresa, Darryle, and Dean, all while owning and operating a furniture store. Nancy was of the Baptist faith, she loved her children, and enjoyed fishing, camping, bingo, and above all, spending time with family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents James and Susan; her husband, Van Sr., and 2 sons Van Earl Jr., and Darryle Wayne, and 14 siblings. Those remaining to cherish her memories are Frank King, her best friend and partner, her 2 daughters, Sonya (David) Rogers and Teresa Quick, and 1 son, Dean Coppedge; a daughter-in-law Roxanne Emery, a sister Rita Thompson, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, plus one on the way, and 1 great-great grandchild, on the way. The Coppedge family would like to extend a special “thank you” to Roxanne Emery.

The family will greet friends during a visitation on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, from 5-7PM, at Combest Family Memorial Chapel at 2210 Broadway. A funeral service is scheduled at Combest Family Memorial Chapel, for Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at 2:00PM, with Elizabeth Abraham officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, Woodrow, TX. Arrangements were entrusted to Combest Family Funeral Homes.
